Performance and Porting: While Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic Spinball used original source code, Golden Axe was rebuilt from scratch for this release.
Single Player Focus: Unlike its original Genesis version, the GBA port of Golden Axe does not support two-player cooperative play.
Technical Issues: Reviewers from IGN and Sega Retro noted significant audio degradation, particularly in Sonic Spinball, where much of the original music is replaced by a single looping track or is missing entirely.
