Gameplay and Story
Mega Man World 5 is unique in the handheld series because it does not reuse bosses from the NES titles.
Plot: Mega Man must defend Earth from the Stardroids, a group of alien robots named after planets (e.g., Mars, Venus, Jupiter) led by a powerful robot named Terra.
The Mega Arm: Instead of the standard Mega Buster, Mega Man uses the "Mega Arm," a powerful projectile where he fires his own fist at enemies.
New Companion: Introduces Tango the cat, a robotic pet that transforms into a buzzsaw to ricochet around the room and attack enemies.
